A new study from the software provider for tour operators Bokun revealed that Drimnagh Castle was the most popular in the world among tourists.
By examining more than 1,000 local destinations using Tripadvisor reviews containing the phrase “hidden gem,” they found the best places to travel around the world, chosen by tourists.
Taking Ireland's first place, Dublin in general, made a great impression on everyone who visits the Emerald Isle.
Out of the 10 hidden gems to visit in Ireland, nine of them are located Dublin and Drimnagh Castle takes the lead.
Claim first place in both Dublin and in Ireland, 19 percent of all reviews of the historic site called it a hidden gem.
As well as Drimnagh Castle there were the Marino Casino, Marsh Library, Dublin City Gallery and Richmond Barracks.
Dublin may have gotten its own list, the majority of places on the Irish list also appeared to be in the capital.
However, Ireland was ranked as the third most likely country in the world to find a 'hidden gem', with 6% of the total wonders.

England comes in first with 33 percent and the United States comes in second with 31 percent.
Drimnagh Castle received 19 per cent of the vote in Ireland, followed by Kilfane Waterfall and Glen in County Kilkenny, then gaining prominence. Ireland's third hidden gem was the National Botanic Gardens in Kilmacurragh.
Ireland has attracted a lot of attention among tourists in recent times, with the island off the coast of Ireland being named one of the most underrated in Europe.
