Disneyland Paris has announced that its second gate, Walt Disney Studios Park, will undergo a multi-year transformation to breathe new life into the park. amusement park. Along with the expanded park offerings, which will nearly double the park's existing footprint, Walt Disney Studios Park will be renamed Disney Adventure World.
The €2 billion investment will include a previously announced Frozen-themed land, dubbed World of Frozen. If the name sounds familiar, that's because a land with the same title recently opened at Hong Kong Disneyland in China. Disney Adventure World and World of Frozen will debut simultaneously.
“Today, we are changing the story of Walt Disney Studios Park, moving from 'how it's done' soundstages to celebratory theaters and adventures that come to life in immersive worlds. When World of Frozen opens, it will be located on the shore of Adventure Bay, a 70,000 cubic meter body of water. It will be the focal point of the park's new expansion and will serve as a hub for planned new lands and experiences. According to Disney, Adventure Bay will also serve as an entertainment stage that will feature water entertainment combining fountains, music, lights and special effects.
Construction begins in April for a new park entrance
Starting this month, the park's entrance square will also be transformed. The entrance building will transition from showcasing a film set on Hollywood Boulevard to a space reminiscent of historic Hollywood movie theaters. The entrance building will be renamed World Premiere and will open in spring 2025.
Just outside World Premiere will be the World Premiere Plaza. The new theme will bring together the facades of Broadway and West End theaters. The square will lead to Adventure Way, where a new family attraction will be built. The new ride will be called Rapunzel Tangled Spin (or Rapunzel Tangled Spin in English) and is themed after the animated film Tangled. Also along Adventure Way, theme park fans can dine at a new restaurant called The Regal View Restaurant and Lounge. The table service restaurant will feature meet-and-greets with Disney princess characters.

This is just the beginning of investments for Disney
In September 2023, Disney announced that it would invest approximately $60 billion over the next 10 years in its Experiences segment. The investment goes towards “expand and improve national and international parks and cruise line capacity.
According to Disney, there are more than 1,000 acres of land that the company can use for possible development to expand the current footprint of existing theme parks.
“Throughout our history, we have created enormous growth by investing the right amount of capital in the right projects at the right time,” said Bob Iger, CEO of The Walt Disney Company, in a statement. “We plan to once again boost our growth with a significant volume of strategic investments in this business.”
In 2024 and 2025, Disney has already announced the opening of Tiana's Bayou Adventure in Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort, the completion of the EPCOT renovation, the opening of Fantasy Springs at Tokyo Disneyland Resort, and much more at its theme parks. Additionally, three new cruise ships are expected to debut and Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point will begin welcoming cruise passengers in June.
