MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – Myrtle Beach will be one of the top destinations for families this summer.
That's according to Google Flights, which tracked the most searched destination by U.S. family travelers for trips between June 1 and August 31.
Based on this research, the travel website ranked Myrtle Beach second on its list of best summer vacation spots for families.
Myrtle Beach was the only U.S.-based destination to make the list.
“We are very pleased to be recognized as a top family travel destination by Google Flights and to see such promising travel data to date,” said Karen Riordan, President and CEO of the Chamber of Commerce. Myrtle Beach Area Commerce and Convention and Visitors Bureau. “As we move into spring and our destination hosts major events such as the World's Strongest Man event and the Myrtle Beach Classic PGA TOUR, we expect to see continued demand from families looking for our warm climate, our great beaches and plenty to see and do.
