RAPID CITY, SD (KOTA) – March is a month full of craziness, elves, and of course, many students' favorite time of year, spring break.
As airports begin to become very busy due to a high volume of travelers looking to travel to different destinations around the world, it is important to keep spring break travel tips in mind to avoid any problem.
The Transportation Security Administration recommends that travelers carefully plan each step of their trip. They say it is essential that travelers arrive at the airport at least two hours before their flight.
Regional TSA spokesperson Jessica Mayle says it's common for passengers to lose small items.
“A lot of times what we see lost is, you know, someone's individual driver's license or airpods, change, keys. All these little things, I think people like to use the bowl, but actually when you can, repack your bag, put your stuff in your pockets and just put an object in the x-ray scanner. It's a best outcome,” Mayle said.
