Walt Disney Imagineering revealed via a Instagram post that “extra magic” was added to Tiana's Bayou Adventure in Magic Kingdom, with the addition of prominent stars in the sky for Ray and Evangeline.
Towards the end of the attraction, just after the final scenea miniature New Orleans cityscape rests beneath a starry sky. Now, visitors to the attraction will notice two larger stars in the sky, representing Ray the Firefly and his love, Evangeline, who both turned into stars after their deaths.
In “The Princess and the Frog”, Ray the firefly sings a song about his love, Evangeline. It becomes apparent that she previously died and became the star in the sky he sings about. Later, when Ray himself dies, he becomes a star alongside Evangeline.
