The Vale Storybook, Part 1!

A new chapter to unfold

Once upon a time, The Storybook Vale existed in the sky above the valley, but was stolen by Maleficent from Disney Park. Sleeping Beauty and Disney's Hades Hercules. Although they ruled peacefully for a time, the conflict between the two marred the very fabric of the lands they ruled – causing ink to flow from the ground!

That you foiled Jafar's plans Disney Dreamlight Valley: a break in time or having triumphed over the events of Oblivion in Disney Dreamlight Valley – adventures await all those who land on the banks of the Vale. After you collect your royal tools from the valley, a letter from the mysterious Keeper of Lore will arrive in your in-game mailbox, asking for your help. Of course, you'll need ways to get there – if you haven't already. check out the Stardust port, your friend Merlin should be willing to lend you a hand.

A surprising new friend…

Get off your enchanted means of transport, you will find yourself in front of a large library; however, he's certainly had more “happily ever after” days – this reinforced by inky obstacles blocking your path in every direction. As you head inland, you will finally meet face to face the author of the invitation you received – although the term “face” is used a little loosely here.

An enchanted book, the Keeper of Knowledge, acted as guardian of these lands, holding them together through the magic found within its pages. While she once protected the stories that inspired the world around her – discord among the ruling villains of the Vale has scattered them to the wind in the form of snippets – magical origami creatures. Evolving in a variety of patterns, if you want to restore the Lorekeeper's stories, you'll need to equip a new royal tool – unfortunately, your royal fishing rod isn't equipped to flight-fishing.

With a little ingenuity and the help of another new friend you meet along the way, you'll discover the Royal Net at your fingertips and be ready to grab any variation of Snippets you might encounter. By adding this tool to your collection, you will also be able to net strike a new pose in photo mode!

Putting it all together

Capturing snippets isn't the only challenge you'll encounter in the pages of the Lorekeeper – Storybook Valley also introduces a new puzzle mini-game!

By collecting various snippets of all shapes and colors, you will have the pieces needed to unlock a variety of puzzles depicting the history of the Vale, as well as illustrations inspired by Disney and Pixar classics.

As you help the Keeper of Knowledge reclaim her magic, each puzzle you complete will give you new decoration options to adorn the walls of your homes and buildings.

Old and new friends

Although the journey ahead may seem overwhelming, you will benefit from the help of old friends – and new ones!

With some of them bringing their Valley staples, like Chez Remy and Goofy's Stall, your Valley and Eternity Isle villagers can't pass up the opportunity to visit them! Scrooge McDuck will also offer a new location for capitalize on your adventures prepare for the adventures ahead with new clothing and furniture – only available at its store in Storybook Vale.

Speaking of new friends, part one of Disney Dreamlight Valley: The Valley of Storybooks The Expansion Pass arrives with its own collection of villagers who will join you:

– Probably the only villager not to be seduced by Snippets; Merida from Disney and Pixar Brave joins your quest from the start of The Bind – lending you his courage and aid to restart your progress in repairing the ruins caused by the seeping ink.

-Flynn Rider from Disney Tangled also joins us – lending his keen mind to aid in your quests, and maybe some of its less useful convents. Of course we love love stories! Owners of Disney Dreamlight Valley: a break in time who have strengthened their friendship with Rapunzel will be able to reunite the two through additional quest content.

– Perhaps the least expected addition to your villagers is Hades – once you've calmed his fiery temper. Just keep a cool head and try not to let him make you one of his servants.

Additional villagers arrive for everyone Storybook Valley expansion pass owners when Part 2 launches in 2025.

A world full of magic

Although you might be tempted to relax with a good book when you land in The Bind – trust us, there are books. everywhere – there is so much to explore Storybook Valley!

Made up of three unique biomes, The Bind's bustling library port is just the first area you'll enter. Depending on which path you turn first, its book-filled autumnal crevices transform into the golden fields of Mythopia, or the lush mushroom-filled forest of Everafter.

Inspiration from each biome lends itself to your decorating toolkit – letting you feel at home with new structures and plants in the Landscaping menu. Foodies can also delight in a treasure trove of new ingredients waiting to be discovered on land, in the rivers and pools of the Vale. Already full and looking for a new friend? Each biome is also home to a unique creature in different color variations – all waiting to become your next animal companion!

Flora and fauna aren't the only things you'll find in each biome: grab your Royal Camera tool and get ready to take a photo in front of stunning landmarks inspired by your favorite Disney and Pixar stories! You will also discover vast events for adventure lovers… but we leave it to you to discover everything they contain.

Don't hesitate to leave without delay for the Vale – as a bonus, the first fans of Disney Dreamlight Valley: The Valley of Storybooks who purchase and launch the game before November 30 at 11:59 p.m. ET will receive a message in their in-game mailbox containing an awesome collection of dark academia-themed clothing.
