Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is the next title from MachineGames, and rather than blowing up Nazis with OTT weapons in Wolfensteinyou will hit them with shovels and rolling pins. Launching on PS5 next spring After a brief period of Xbox exclusivity, publisher Bethesda has just released a new gameplay walkthrough video, offering our best look at the adventure and action.
Clocking in at just under 15 minutes, the video goes over exploration, puzzles, stealth, combat, and other details. It appears the focus will be on Indy's excursions into dangerous locations in search of clues and artifacts; Much of the trailer involves exploring environments and piecing together puzzles.
He also explains how you'll use some of his equipment, like his journal, which will gradually fill with useful information as you progress, and his camera, which can be used to get more details and even clues on puzzles if you wish.
Indy's whip will be used when crossing, allowing you to cross chasms. Of course, it will also be useful in combat and in stealth mode: you can use it to break objects and cause a distraction, or you can snatch weapons from enemy hands, trip them, and much more. Beyond that, you'll improvise various melee weapons, brawl with fists, and wield a trusty revolver – although firearms are intended as a last resort.
Overall, the game seems to be pretty authentic to what fans have come to expect from Indiana Jones. Whether it will all come together for a cohesive experience remains to be seen, but the gameplay presented here is quite promising.
