The US State Department has been very busy in August, recently reissuing updated travel tips for a handful of popular destinations.
Officials issued six updates Monday, including Level 1 advisories for the ABC islands of Aruba, Bonaire and Curacao. Visitors to the islands are currently asked to take normal precautions.
Across the Atlantic, beloved destinations such as Greece, Croatia and the Netherlands have received updated Level 1 travel advisories over the past week, marking a good news for Americans planning a trip. European vacation this fall.
The State Department earlier this month issued three Level 4 travel advisories for Libya, Bangladesh and Iran. Travelers are encouraged to avoid these countries due to various threats, including crime, terrorism, unexploded landmines, civil unrest, kidnapping and armed conflict.
