Hiking and Camping in Joshua Tree National Park
Vacation in beautiful Joshua Tree National Park with another REI travel package. During a four-day stay in Southern California, you'll enjoy a four- to five-mile hike through a complex variety of desert landscapes, as well as meals prepared by a guide. If you're an REI member, this camping trip will cost $1,799; and if it doesn't, you'll pay $1,979.
Zion National Park
The website RunRepeat calls St. George, Utah, the state's “warm-weather retreat” and “the perfect winter getaway for those who want incredible mountain views without battling freezing temperatures.” It's also home to the beautiful Zion National Park, where you can experience a wide range of trails suitable for hikers of all abilities. A standard pass costs between $20 and $35, while an annual national parks pass costs only $70. If you are looking for an overnight trip, you can stay at the Zion Lodge or take advantage of the large campsite available.
