MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) – The Adventure Team 906 is hosting its final meeting before registration opens Wednesday at Marquette. The meeting is scheduled for Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at the Ore Dock Brewing Company.
This is an opportunity to meet volunteers from the organization and get answers to all your questions. The 906 Adventure Team strives to empower young people to be the best version of themselves through outdoor adventures, with a focus on mountain biking.
The Adventure Team's general manager says it's the perfect place to get answers before the busy spring and summer season begins.
“It's a great place for parents, who might be new to the program, to come and meet us face to face and ask questions like 'what type of bike should my daughter have, what type of helmet? does my son need it, if he has to have it? a water bottle, should they have a backpack?, all those things you might not know,” said Todd Poquette, executive director of 906 Adventure Team.
Youth registration for the 906 Adventure Team is fast approaching and will open on May 4 at noon. Poquette says it's likely registrations will fill up very quickly.
