It seems like almost everyone is jet-setting to Europe or cruising the coast right now, but if you're like me, you're way too booked and busy for that this summer. But hear me when I say this: I'll be damned if I go all summer without at least enjoying a staycation at home.
Fortunately, it is still possible to have a fun and memorable summer, even if you are not going to Europe or the beach in the near future. You can treat yourself (and your friends too!) to a luxurious and special stay without wasting what's left of your summer budget. 1. Plan a day at the museum
Museums are an essential part of any travel itinerary, and you may not need them a flight ticket to visit one. 12. Go camping (or glamping)
No matter your style (I'm a glamping type myself), an outdoor getaway is a low-cost alternative to an equally fun and relaxing vacation.
